Our quest to our perfect social media management tool brings us to Publer, currently available on AppSumo as a deal.

One of the things we always look to improve at MasterStack and everything else we do is our handling of Social Media! There are so many, yet it is difficult to find one that fits our use in exactly the way we want.

Let’s see if we like it enough to take for a Review spin!

What is it? A tool to manage social media across Facebook, Twitter, Google My Business, Youtube and soon Instagram

Who is it for? Marketers, social media managers and anyone having to plan and interact in social media with multiple profiles

What do we get? Equal features as their higher paying plan. Each stack adds additional profiles and members (+30 each +3 members)

The Publer Preview, a Social Media Superhero

There’s this superhero vibe out of Publer’s marketing material in a funny sorta way, so why not. Maybe the green is a bit too green, but it’s not too bad.

After watching webinars and reading comments, what comes out seem to be:

• Publer offers some specific and not-common features such as planned first comment on scheduled posts (to add links, tags or something), watermarking
• Standard social media scheduling with previews of each social network, ability to edit each one, etc
• Evergreen content setup
• Import via RSS / csv files
• Basic analytics
• No reporting yet (planned towards the end of the year)
• A specific roadmap
• A new product to handle social messaging (answers message to the page/groups etc) and basic CRM, Mitto. Not included in AppSumo deal
• Pleasant UI
• Simple in a non-cluttered way and easy to use.

So we have here a focused tool on planning and scheduling social media, with evergreen capabilities and that can handle most networks except for Instagram. It does not have fancy features but it also seems rather good at what it does.

Publer AppSumo Deal’s Pricing

Let’s take a look at the AppSumo deal and we can compare it to the normal Publer pricing, which is free for 5 socials and some limited features, but gets to 20$/month to the Aurum plan, which is what is on the AppSumo deal, for 5 social accounts.

On AppSumo’s deal you get 30 as a lifetime deal, that already gets our ideas rolling.

That’s a long list of features!

Pricing seems very good. You get 30 socials and 3 members per stack, which is a very generous amount compared to many other platforms that have you pay more than 39$ per Month!

Granted, these platforms are more developed, have some more features and have an established track record.

Still, if the product fits one’s needs as it currently is, then this is a great price.

As with most social media marketing platforms, Instagram is always a sore point. So, while we hope Publer gets a decently working access soon, right now it’s not there and it hurts a bit on the feature side. Of course we know it’s not really Publer’s fault, that’s just how Instagram is.

Whichever way you look at this, it’s a very interesting price point we can’t ignore.
