Sales Rocks Preview 2020 – Automated Company Search and Outreach

I have never considered Company and Prospect search and outreach fun, but with Sales Rocks it might just be so. It’s currently available on AppSumo at 69$ per stack.

SalesRocks wants to make company search, contact search and prospect outreach as quick and automated as possible, and offers many tools.

As usual with our previews, we will take a look at Sales Rocks, its changelog, roadmaps, take a guess at its development speed, check whether anything is amiss, look at what it does and its pricing.

Presenting Sales Rocks

Their website and blog is very often updated, as we can see here. There are valid posts and news on the product, so we can check it often for useful resources.

They have a fairly extensive Knowledge Base, as well as Community Questions, Chat Widgets and Tickets, so there’s a good amount of information already available and support is easy to reach.

Via their public roadmap we can also take a look at what they have planned for the future, what they’re working on and by looking at past releases we can guess at their development speed. There are a lot of features planned, as well as integrations with CRMs and other software to export our lists to. Taking a look at the past development, we can see new features or updates every 2 weeks or so.

As far as Reviews, on AppSumo people point out that while the tool feels fresh and young, it’s still powerful and has many features, so while it is not yet perfectly in line with its competition, it does have as much potential, if not more. Most reviewers are very happy with it, and the developer has been very communicative.

Overall, the presentation is great, with thorough information, documentation, often updated changelog and a high amount of updates. Sales Rocks looks good on surface.

Sales Rocks Looks at Our Direction

Let’s look at the Sales Rocks features now, to understand how we might want to use the tool.

Company and Contact Research

They have just released a Chrome Extension which allows us to get the company information by browsing to their website and using it. Sales Rocks will consult its database and give us as much information it has on the company’s website we’re browsing.

If we do not have a company in mind but we want to search for prospects, there are extensive filters available that allow us to search by country, location, industry type, revenue, technologies.

Once we set the parameters for our research, Sales Rocks will give us a list of matching companies we can export to a csv file.

That’s not over though. We can also look for contacts, so that we find the right person to talk to that works in the right industry/company we want to reach.

With Contact Research, Salesrocks can do the same type of research, and we can filter by department, technology, location, country, headquarters, company size, industry type and much more. We can easily create our own filters, save them and do our search.

We can then save the results within a list, to either export or to use on the next feature

Email Verification and Campaigns

We can create sequences and email campaigns with an easy to use interface that allows us to create proper automated campaigns and design each email.

We can then send them to the lists we’ve prepared via the Contact Research.

This way we can also automate the process of reaching out to prospects and start the interaction.

Once the interaction moves forward, we can then add them to our CRMs, if we haven’t done that before.

SalesRocks offers email and phone verification, as well as it integrates with VerifyBee and TheChecker. When exporting Contacts Lists, you can choose whether you want only verified emails or not.

Verifying emails is crucial to avoid sending to spams or inactive emails, in order to keep your records clean.

Integrating SalesRocks

As of now, SalesRocks does not offer many integrations: ZohoCRM and Zapier. While Zapier opens up many doors, it’s often an additional expense and a bit clunky, not quite perfect as direct integrations.

They are very important as you want to get your new leads to your CRM, either before or after your Drip campaigns. You can easily do that by exporting your contacts in a CSV file from SalesRocks and then importing on your CRM, but it’s still not quite optimal.

They of course are aware of this limitation and are working on it. CRM integrations are on their roadmap, so we should get them at some point.

SalesRocks Pricing and AppSumo Deal

SalesRocks Pricing Structure is very flexible, as you can mix and match the various services

SalesRocks Company Search
SalesRocks Contact Search
SalesRocks Credits
SalesRocks Email Verification Credits

As we can see, SalesRocks’ pricing depends on our use, and we can decide ourselves. It gets expensive really quickly, but as we know its competitors, they get even more expensive just as quickly, so the SalesRocks normal pricing seems very competitive for the kind of information it gives you.

Let’s see what we get with the AppSumo deal:

SalesRocks AppSumo Features

SalesRocks AppSumo stacks

Each stack doesn’t increment linearly, at some points throughout the 10 stacks there are some “bumps”. Let’s consider what we get for one stack, however, and compare it with their normal pricing:

2000 Company Search Credits per Month: 99€/month in their normal pricing

2500 Toolkit credits per month: ~50€/month in their normal pricing (it’s a bit less than half what they offer in a month for 99€)

500 Contact search credits per month: ~160€/month in their normal pricing (66% more than their offering for a month at 99€)

so if I understand this correctly, we would get the equivalent of a little over than 310€/month, with just one stack at $69.

While their normal pricing seems good for such a specific tool, the AppSumo lifetime deal seems just amazing.

1 Credit equals to either one Company Row (all the information related to the company), one Contact Row (all the information related to a Contact), or one Email Verification. We have 3 different credit “buckets” and it just removes one for each use for its respective bucket.

SalesRocks In Conclusion

After taking this look at SalesRocks, it seems like a great and solid tool that should make our lives easier when looking for new prospects and companies.

Features are aplenty and it seems to be working properly according to what we’ve read. Integrations are a bit lacking but they will get there.

Presentation is great and there’s a lot of information, changelog is used and development speed is very quick.

Pricing makes this a great deal, hard to miss.

To be completely honest I do not have a current use for this tool, but with the pricing so good, I know one day I will need something like this, and I do not want to have missed it. This is one of those deals that it might be worth getting even though there’s no current use for it, in my mind.
