It’s been a while since our Publer Preview. In the meanwhile, we’ve had a chance to try it out and see whether it meets our expectations, so it’s time to get on with a proper Review!
Let’s recap what we surmised from our Publer Preview: Publer looks to be a simple yet powerful social media manager at a very competitive pricing, with many useful features, but at the same time it is not as flexible and powerful as more established tools as many important aspects are still a work in progress, scheduled to be available throughout 2020 and possibly 2021, but we cannot judge what we don’t have, although we do appreciate roadmaps.
Very important note: since our Publer Preview, they’ve added their integration through Zapier, which is a perfectly viable mid-solution to get to Instagram and Pinterest. Zapier’s free tier is enough for quite a few posts, so albeit not directly, Publer has now Instagram and Pinterest integrations!
Let’s get through Onboarding, see how it works out for us and go from there.
Publer: Dressing up a Superhero
As soon as we join Publer, we are greeted by a very simple yet clear interface. We can easily add our social networks this way.
the pre-ticked Twitter follow is not nice, but it’s not a big deal. The whole process is very easy.
This took all of 2 minutes, you can easily add all the accounts you need and then through the Teams tab you can group them together by clicking on “Group Accounts”
You can also add teams and give them specific permissions, that’s also just as easy
Let’s get to the post interface, the heart of Publer!
I quite like how easy it is to both schedule and choose (by clicking on the arrow on the left, you can pick a group to quickly select your social networks.
All of the features are easily accessed here, let’s recap what those are:
- Customize post for each social network.
This lets us apply changes only specific to certain networks, niche but useful feature. - Location
- Media Options
Currently allows to add a Watermark. Quite nice! - Signature
- Autoshare
To share your posts to other social accounts - Follow-up Comment
You can schedule your first comment to your posts and set a time for them to be posted at. - Autodelete/hide
- Delay between accounts
You can also use Bulk Upload, CSV and RSS to easily add a bunch of posts, or add your blog posts.
Posts are imported as drafts and won’t be saved until you confirm them; there is no issue at all in the import and it worked very well for the posts here at MasterStack. It is not an automatic import, however, so you have to run it when you want to pull your new posts.
You can also use “autofill” and “recycle” to setup a post schedule for each of your social networks. You can initially set it up for your social network by going into its settings and adding a schedule:
There are plenty more features to look for and play with, but we can say we understand the possibilities now.
It’s High Publer Noon
So, we expected an easy to use tool to handle social network posts, and that’s what we’ve got. It’s also robust and flexible enough with team users, groups and social schedule so that you can go above and beyond the bare minimum, and there are a bunch of unique features that might not work for everyone, but are really cool, such as automatic first comments and so on.
We’re satisfied with Publer, and wish to see constant improvements on what is a promising platform.
We will revisit it in the months to come, to see if they add the important features they’ve already marked in their roadmap, such as in-depth analytics, and more.

Summary
Publer works very well and the development speed is quite good, as they have been adding new features over the past few months. There are some very interesting niche features that we haven’t seen anywhere else, but some core important features are still missing and are in development. We believe the best is yet to come with Publer, and in its current form it already is quite a powerful tool to have in our social stack.
