I haven’t read this definition elsewhere, it’s something I came up with when trying to describe the tools used to establish a flow.

A “stack” is a the set of technologies an individual or organization uses to handle their activities. It is a combination of tools, software, workflows and hardware used for different purposes and intents.

It can be about anything, but no matter what we do, we end up having to up some software, trying out a few of those and getting into a workflow that’s comfortable to us.

It is probably what I do the most, whether it’s for me, for my work or for my hobbies. I end up trying a plethora of tools, changing my workflow in a constant flow of improvement and change.

Since I sink a considerable amount of time into this, I am hopeful my considerations, thoughts and insights can be helpful to others just as well. Granted, I cannot hope to consider all use cases, but I do have some of my own and can think of some others as well.
